Brigade Sud Nice or Ultras Populaire Sud Nice, founded in 1985 was one of the first ultra group in France officially the second after Marseille. Based in Nice at the Stade du Ray until 2013, the group showed the powerful atmosphere at the stadium and was one of the most dangerous Ultras Group during the 90’s. In 2010, the Brigade Sud Nice was officially dissolved by the french government because of its political reputation for being too much extremism with right-wing groups and also by the hooliganism problem which is forbidden in France. Today, the Ultras Populaire Sud kept their political positions as before. The Ultras Populaire Sud Nice is located at the south part of the stadium. The group celebrated their 40 years against Marseille with a beautiful pyrotechnic and fireworks show.
