Short info

The first ultra group in Saint-Étienne, the Fighters 88, emerged in 1988. They were followed on July 20, 1991, by the Magic Fans, who made their debut during a match against Toulon. Shortly after the appearance of the MF91—who were heavily inspired by the Italian ultra movement—the Fighters disbanded.
In late February 1992, the Green Angels were formed. Originally situated in the Kop Nord alongside the Gics, the Green Angels eventually moved to the South Stand (Gradin Sud) a few years later. This move left the legendary Charles Paret tribune to the Magic Fans and the Gics.
Today, Saint-Étienne's ultra groups are considered among the most influential in the country, with the Magic Fans currently recognized as the most powerful ultra group in France.
